“I have always enjoyed being creative, making and restoring things of worth". She is a member of the Art Workers Guild and teaches stone carving at Heatherley School of Fine Art.

Katherine’s sculptures have been exhibited at Tate Britain – as part of the Six Shooter Art Fair, London.

She welcomes all types of commissions, architectural, sculptural, and letter carving.

Her sculpture repairs are in stone, resin, plaster, ceramic and fibre glass. No repair is too small for her to take on; from contemporary Banksy art to antique alabaster furniture.

She repairs statues for example: The Albert Memorial’s marble figures, Kensington Gardens, The Royal Parks, London; and a new Portland stone hand for King George II monument, Covent Garden, Golden Square, London.

She trained for 2 years at Weymouth College in stone masonry/construction, letter carving and architectural stone carving (achieving a distinction), she then did a 2 year architectural carving apprenticeship at York Minster.

Her architectural stone carving is on buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral, London; carving half a Corinthian capital. Stone masonry is often the initial stage of architectural carving. She made a new stone arch for The Art Workers Guild, Bloomsbury, London.

She has carved stone plaques for Kensington Town Hall’s Lord Mayors Names, (returning annually) to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London; and Ignatius Sancho, unveiled at Greenwich Park; the first black Briton to receive the vote.

Her hand carved gravestones are embellished with carved designs, often reflecting the loved one and their likes. Clients are invited to take part in this creative process.
